Report An Absence
If you need to report your child’s absence from school for illness or any other unavoidable cause, please do so via the Studybugs mobile phone app. Please click here to get the free and secure app now.
Alternatively, you can go to http://studybugs and report your child’s absence via their website.
If you are unable to access the internet, please phone the School Office on 01428 683071 and follow the instructions.
Absences should be reported by 9.00 a.m. on each and every day that a child is not in school.
We are required by law to record “unauthorised" absences or frequent latecomers, and any absence from school is considered "unauthorised" until we receive an explanation via email or phone call from a parent/carer.
Leave of absence
To request a planned leave of absence from school (e.g. holiday), parents/carers must complete a “Request for Leave of Absence Form” (see below - a copy is also available from the School Office). The completed form should be submitted to school at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of absence.
